Chief Business Development Officer (M/F)

Who we are:

LuxProvide is the national HPC organization in charge of implementing supercomputing facilities and providing HPC, HPDA & AI competencies and services. For our recently set up organization and HPC infrastructure, we are seeking for a Chief Business Development Officer to join the management team and to elaborate our business and marketing strategy.

Your role consists in:

  • Gain a broad and comprehensive knowledge of all matters related to the business of the company with an eye towards identifying new sales prospects
  • Develop and maintain a 5 years business and marketing strategy in coordination with the members of the Executive Committee to achieve the company’s mid- and long-term financial goals
  • Create proposals and develop marketing materials for industry presentations as well as presentations to potential customers from the public and private sector and prospective partners
  • Elaborate business development plans, design and implement processes to support business growth, through customer and market definition, through building relationships in the local and international industry, identifying opportunities, and completing deals
  • Ensure the successful delivery of the business’s outcome derived from business plans which have been approved by the Board and the Executive Committee
  • Build and maintain high-level contacts with current and prospective customers and other business and project partners
  • Establish and develop a robust set of strategic relationships with other non-profit organizations including but not limited  to the University of Luxembourg, LIST and Luxinnovation
  • Drive prospects through contract conclusion, including identifying new customers and markets, and the support of prospects to secure RDI funding
  • Develop approaches to market, identify proposals and oversee the generation of proposals that are suited to (prospective) clients
  • Manage, support and develop the User Engagement & Professional Services team, placed under the leadership of the group leader, in order to ensure the development of HPC applications, products, systems and services
  • Manage, support and develop the Customer Relation Management and the Marketing office
  • Manage the Project Management Office
  • Participate in industry forums, client discussions, and conferences as a representative of the company


  • Master degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, ICT or related field, MBA is preferred
  • Understand the HPC landscape, knowledge of both commercial and non-profit sectors in this space
  • Over 10 years of experience that includes business development and partner relationships
  • Experience developing product, services or market launch
  • Experience developing and successfully executing business plans
  • Track-record of success in achieving and exceeding goals/targets
  • Experience developing project plans and budgets
  • Demonstrated ability/experience providing effective direction to achieve program goals and deliver results
  • Strong leadership and consensus-building skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent decision-making and organizational skills
  • Strong ability to interact professionally and comfortably with individuals at all levels
